About the Photographer

Posted by Margarete on 08 August 2007

Ľubomír Báťa (b 1977) is originally from the town of Zlaté Moravce, in western Slovakia. Though he is relatively new to photography, his artistic eye and the ability to create a rapport with the people who are his subjects made him a perfect match for working on his first major project: creating a collection of illustrative photographs for the book The Foreigner’s Guide to Living in Slovakia.

Ľubomír’s photographs demonstrate his ability to capture scenes and events, and to share with others the beauty and uniqueness of his country. He has a talent for finding the character in his subjects, whether it is a landscape, structure, or people, and for allowing that character to shine through in his photographs.

As the images of other photographers have inspired him to explore his surroundings, without doubt, his contributions will inspire others to do the same.
